Required Information on Turkish Safety Data Sheet
The Safety Data Sheet is a form called SDS, which is prepared for informative purposes for chemical substances, mixtures, and intermediates, consisting of 16 sub-headings and 48 sub-headings and has the mandatory to prepare. Turkish SDS should be prepared according to Turkish Safety Data Sheet Regulation No.29204.
The most important feature of the Turkish SDS Regulation is the necessity of preparing SDSs by certified persons. However, it should be noted that, as of December 31, 2023, Safety Data Sheets in Turkey will only be prepared by Chemical Assessment Specialists in accordance with the KKDIK Regulation.
Another feature of these forms is that they must be in Turkish. The certificate information of the certified persons, who are authorized to prepare the Safety Data Sheet, should also be included in the 16th Section of the Safety Data Sheet. For the certified person preparing the SDS, the following information should be added to the 16th Section;
